Our Location

Casita Margarita the perfect location from which to explore Pedasi and the Azuero Province of Panama.

We are located at the end of Main Street in downtown Pedasi. We’re close to everything, yet it is remarkably peaceful. See our location on Google Maps.

This is an ideal location for several reasons:

• Close to fishing – if you are in town to fish, we are about 6 minutes from the mini marina in Pedasi. Most fishing tours depart from here, so you’ll save significant time over other lodging outside of town.
• Near the airport – if you fly to Pedasi during the high season on the Monday/Friday route with Aeroperlas, we can pick you up at the airport, free of charge!   It’s a mere 5 minutes from our hotel’s doorstep.
• Close by surfing – there are several good breaks within a short drive from Pedasi. The well-known Playa Venao is around 35 minutes on great roads.
• Jogging distance to the beach – you can jog to the beach in about 15 minutes, ride a bike, rent a scooter or take a $1 taxi.
• Walking distance to restaurants – there are several good restaurants, the town square, a grocery store and other conveniences within walking distance of our front porch.

Driving Directions

Cross over the bridge of the Americas or Centennial bridge, heading West to Pacific beaches and “the interior”. This is probably the most tricky part of the drive, so here’s a link to a video blog called how to leave Panama City.

Once you cross the bridge over The Canal, leading out of Panama City, head due West on the highway, passing:

Landmark Driving time (without stops):

• Coronado — 1 hr
• Penonome — 2 hr
• Aguadulce — 2 hr 30 min
• Divisa — 2 hr 45 mins

Taking the Divisia Overpass to Chitre

At divisa you must take the overpass (right hand exit) to head SOUTH towards Chitre. This is your ONLY major turnoff, so don’t miss it. Otherwise, you’ll continue heading to Santiago, heading toward Chiriqui Province and the border of Costa Rica.

From Divisa, heading SOUTH:

• Chitre — min 45
• Las Tablas — hr 1.5
• Pedasi — hr 2

Circumventing Chitre

Before you enter Chitre, it is ideal to avoid this large town’s central traffic by taking the bypass toward the Fiesta Casino. Prior to arriving in Chitre, you will see signs for the Fiesta Casino and McDonald’s.

Take the RIGHT turnoff where signs for Fiesta Casino indicate, heading to the town of Los Santos. This leads you past the Hotel Guayacanes and Fiesta Casino, as well as a gas station on the left. You re-connect with the highway at a major intersection with stop light and the Hotel Hong Kong on your left side. Take a RIGHT to continue SOUTH to Las Tablas and Pedasi.

Passing Through Las Tablas

When you enter the town of Las Tablas, continue straight down Main Street and you’ll read an intersection with the town square on your right. Take a LEFT and you will pass several banks on your right. Continue straigh and the road becomes highway again. Continue onward another 40 minutes to Pedasi.

In Pedasi

When you enter the town of Pedasi, you will pass a bunch of billboards indicating you’re in town. You’ll also see the local police station on your right. Continue another 300 meters straight on Main Street. As you near the end of town, you will see our large wooden sign on the RIGHT. We are the last 2 story building in town on your right. If you pass a gas station on your left, you’ve gone too far.
